Pazhassi Raja Movie Wallpaper

Now they are ready with another Malayalam magnum opus, on the life of King Pazhassi Raja titled Pazhassi Raja.

Pazhassi Raja belonged to the Kottayam Royal family in Thalassery. He had helped the British in their fight against Tipu Sulthan. But after the British imposed heavy taxes directly on the rulers, Pazhassi Raja turned against them during the mid 1790s. Pazhassi Raja waged a guerrilla war against the British from Wynad, with a group of Nairs and Kurichiyas in the early 1800s.

With the appointment of the young British officer, Thomas Harvey Baber as the sub-collector of Thalassery in 1804, the going became tough for Pazhassi Raja and as per certain history books; he died swallowing his ring in 1805. But the grapevine has it that the end of Pazhassi Raja, as mentioned in the some history books, has been proven wrong in the film. As Thomas Harvey Baber later said, "He was our enemy, but he was a great man, a great warrior."

In Oru Vadakkan Veera Gadha, M T Vasudevan Nair made the character Chandu played by Mammootty a hero though in the folklores, he was called Chathiyan Chandu (Chandu who cheated). The writer also wrote Randamoozham, (Mahabharatam retold) from the perspective of Bhima. Similarly, in all probability, viewers can expect a story of Pazhassi Raja, hitherto unknown to all of us, in the film.

Pazhassi Raja, produced by Gokulam Gopalan, took some time in the making but has been eagerly awaited ever since the project was announced.

Mammootty plays Pazhassi Raja, while Kaniha is doing the role of his wife, Kaitheri Makkom. The star cast also includes Sarath Kumar, Suman, Padmapriya [ Images ], Thilakan, Jagathy Sreekumar and a few foreign actors.

Hariharan and M T has teamed up earlier to make some of the finest films in Malayalam; other than Oru Vadakkan Veeragadha, Parinayam, Panchagni, Nakhakshathangal, Amrutham Gamaya, Aranyakam, Idavazhiyile Poocha Mindapoocha and Valarthu Mrugangal. The two had contemplated making a few other stories this time but finally decided to make the film on Pazhassi Raja. Legendary producer-director Kunchacko of Udaya Studios had earlier made a film on Pazhassi Raja in 1964.

Pazhassi Raja, without doubt the most eagerly awaited film during recent years, has a prologue on the ruler by Mohanlal. Oscar award winner Resul Pookkutty has done the sound designing of Pazhassi Raja. Music maestro Illayaraja is the music director.

Pazhassi Raja, as the legendary ruler was, would be a cut above the rest.

Her debut film Kangalal Kaidhu Sei in Tamil flopped when released in 2004, and her Telugu debut Evare Atagaadu too sank without a trace. Priyamani then made her debut in her native film industry, Malayalam, where she starred opposite another rising actor who would go on to establish himself as a popular actor in Tamil as well, Prithviraj Sukumaran, through the film Satyam [disambiguation needed] but the film failed to do well in the box-office either. Despite the failures, she was hired by another revered Tamil film director and cinematographer Balu Mahendra to star opposite rising Tamil star Dhanush in the 2005 drama Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam. She won tremendous acclaim for her performance in the film, but the film's under-performance meant that box-office success still eluded her.

After three years in search of the elusive film that will make her get noticed, Priyamani managed to prove both her acting credentials and also fame appeal with the 2007 film Paruthi Veeran, directed by another respected Tamil director, Ameer Sultan. She was paired alongside debutant Karthi Sivakumar, who is the younger brother of popular Tamil star Surya Sivakumar. A rural subject which told the story of a notorious young villager in Madurai, the film won tremendous critical acclaim and also became a surprise box-office blockbuster. Priyamani's performance was anonymously praised and she went on to win the Indian National Award for best actress, followed by the a Filmfare award, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress and also an award at the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema.

She had another blockbuster in Telugu, starring opposite Jr. NTR in the 2007 film Yamadonga and found decent box-office success with the Tamil film Malaikottai opposite Vishal.

She again won huge critical acclaim in 2008 for her role in the Malayalam film Thirakkatha, in which she played a role based on the turbulent real life story of late film actress Srividya.[2]

Priyamani is being paired for the third time with good friend and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran for her next Tamil film Ninaithale Inikkum, which is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Classmates [disambiguation needed]. This is the pair's first association in Tamil. She is also acting in a commercial entertainer opposite Bharath, in a film called Arumugam, apart from acting in a Telugu film called Drona opposite young actor Nitin.

However, her biggest project in the pipeline happened when she was hired by ace Indian director Mani Ratnam for his next bilingual film Ashokavanam. Priyamani's co-stars in the film include Prithviraj Sukumaran, Vikram, Karthik Muthuraman, Prabhu Ganesan and also former Miss World Aishwarya Rai.[3] She will also make her Kannada film debut in the film Raam opposite Kannada actor Puneet Rajkumar.

Trisha Wallpapers

Bollywood is giving stage to South actresses. After Asin, it’s the turn of another southern beauty Trisha to entertain the B-town. This actress was initially launched in Tamil by famed filmmaker Priyadarshan. Now he is even launching her in Hindi.

Priyadarshan is going to bring a hilarious Hindi entertainer with ‘Khatta Meetha’. Here Akshay Kumar will be romancing with our Trisha. Talking about Trisha’s role, Priyadarshan revealed, “Trisha has two different avatars in the script. But it’s not a double role. Trisha would have to go into two different time zones.”

Worthy of notice, most of the Priyan-Akki’s movies leaves very less substance for the heroines. But the director clarified that here it won’t be so. “Unlike my other films with Akshay, ‘Khatta Meetha’ is not a comedy. It’s a family film on the lines of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee films, with lots of scope for Trisha,” stated Priyan.

Hmm, now let’s wait to see whether this gal proves to be a Khatti or Meethi, er meaning sour or sweet, for Hindi people.

Playing the role as Jasmin, Jacqueline makes her break through along with the Bollywood giants like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Ritish Deshmuk. While Lankan beauty queen plays Jasmine, Ritish Deshmuk playing Aladdin and Amitabh Bachchan plays the genie.

‘Aladdin’, a film by the talented filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, is a modern re-imagining of the classic fairy tale packed with fun, music, action, romance and adventure which boasts of a visual scale never seen before.

Speaking about the movie based on the Arabian Nights fable about a Magical lamp she said, I’m really excited about working on it because it will be the first of its kind in Bollywood. The special effects will be done by the same people who worked on some of the Harry Potter, Matrix and Spiderman movies.

Now is the time for her to reach out to the world and I am sure Bollywood followers out there would be stunned with what they see of her.

Born in Sri Lanka breaking into civil war and facing economic collapse, Jacqueline and her family moved to Bahrain where she had most of her schooling, where she was motivated to do well and excelled in events such as Athletics, Drama and many other fields. She especially enjoyed Track and Field.
